TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK – WILDLIFE TOUR

This was my second trip to Tsavo East National Park in Kenya and it was amazing and memorable trip. Here is my first hand experience of Kenya Wildlife Tour of Kenya’s biggest National Park.

We went in a group of 21 members from 11th - 12th Oct 2008. We started our tour 7 am in the morning and reached National Park at 10 am. Target of wildlife tour to one of the best National Park of Kenya was very clear:

Spotting BIG FIVE of Kenya i.e. Elephant, Lion, Wild Buffaloes, Rhino and Leopard.

First game drive itself gave immense opportunity to spot animals such as Lions, Elephants, Giraffe and Zebra. Spotting more than 5 lions in first game drive was the best thing to happen in the tour. Other best moments came during rest of the game drives, when we spot lioness eating buffaloes and cheetah in his aggressive mood.

We spent late evening at Impala Lodge with cultural dance of local tribes called MASAI. They have shown us different types of tribal dances, making fire from wood etc. We celebrated our friend KK’s birthday along with tribal dances and he enjoyed cold dip at swimming pool of lodge.

Right to Left, Rhino calling and Powder coming were interesting slogans of the tour, which were created by our group members and used through out the tour. We had total 3 game drives in 2 days and spotted FOUR biggies out of BIG FIVE of Kenya. For next Wildlife tour, Rhino is the target.

Trip was organized by Impala Nature Trails and Holidays based at Mombasa and they have arranged the accommodation, travel, food and cultural programs perfectly for our group. Impala Nature Club has made our stay and travel very comfortable.

Now, Next tour in pipeline is Wasini Island for spotting Dolphins.

The wildlife in India is not confined to any one particular part of the country. In fact every part of this subcontinent has something to offer. Depending on the part of the country you would like to visit and the kind of wildlife that you are interested. Want to know more? visit :- India Tiger Safari
