Bali Island, Indonesia - Country no. 28 with Mission of 50
Countries by 2025.
Let’s look at few interesting facts and what we liked the
most at Bali.
- Covered most of the Bali island except western part. Please check posted map for one week itinerary at Bali.
- We become Billionaire after converting around $1000 to Indonesian Rupiah and atleast for these 7 days we enjoyed this status.
- Visited more than 10 temples (Pura) with most impressive ones were Tanah Lot, Uluwatu, Ulun Danu, Tirta Empul, Besakih and Lempuyang.
- Bintang was found as iconic beer, which define taste of Bali Island.
- Luwak Coffee prepared from processing of Luwak animal’s Poo and tasting of different tea (including favourite red ginger) was fabulous experience, which is available throughout Bali.
- Instagram place of Trip was Lempuyang temple with trick in photography. Kids coordination and effort made it best shot of this trip.
- Facebook place of Trip was Bali Swing at The Heaven, Wanagiri. Where we had best of Trip photographs, with support from Professional photographer, who also gave us few tips in photography.
- SIM cards are quite expensive, specially for tourists. Take help from locals to get best price. Overall network and speed at Island is not upto mark.
- There is entry fees for almost every tourist place, temple, beach, waterfalls etc, which was not expected or planned.
- Jet Ski, Parasailing, Banana Boat, Ayung River Rafting were highlights of Water Sports with not heavy on pockets, but one need to negotiate.
- Most underrated place - Kanto Lampo waterfall. I would recommend this as must do travel activity for visitors.
- Most overrated place - Uluwatu Temple (maybe it’s me, who is so used to this landscape from Great Ocean Road at Victoria, Australia.
- Tourist place we missed - Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary.
- Best Sunset of Tour - Tanah Lot Temple at Indian Ocean.
- Common Food - Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng, which are nothing but Fried Rice and Fried Noodles.
- Best friend during trip- Bali Coffee
- Impressive huge sculptures from Mythology and History, which were all over at Bali roads and signals
- Driving scooter was amazing experience with landscape of rice terraces at Jatiluwih, which is also UNESCO world heritage site.
- Heavenly experience while eating at Dapur Malabar Indian restaurant at Ubud. Highly recommended for home made Indian food with touch from Kerala.
- Unexpected restaurant names Wase Bali was found near Ubud which provide nice food, 3D Art and live music for their restaurant customers. Worth experience for people visiting Bali.
- Beaches we loved- Pedang Pedang, Nusa Dua and Sanur. Water temperature is so amazing for swimming and water activities.
- Place to stay - Ubud over Seminyak or Kuta. Ubud provide really nice experience being tourist with local market, spa, yoga, restaurants and other activities in evening.
- Learning about live volcanoes and their landscape was memorable experience at Mount Batur, Bali.
- Bollywood is still remembered through Mithun and his Disco Dancer songs.
- Few language skills we learnt to survive in Bali, maybe useful for all
