Holidays are here and we have booked the overland train for going to Adelaide from Melbourne. It is long journey of 828 km covered in 10.5 hrs. Few small towns on the way with open land farms but not the best as a scenic railway. It was quite relaxed journey with good cafe and nice seating arrangements.
We reached Adelaide on 22nd Dec evening and had relaxed time with Nadeem, Saveena and Aaban. We already have plan for next 2 days to go around Adelaide to explore Coastal side of South Australia.
On 23rd, we hired a 8 seated from Avis Car Rental and started our exploration trip. We started with ............ And then we reached Yanakilla. We explore many other places on the way. We had good time in Second valley. We stayed over night in Yanakilla.
On 24th we went to Victor harbour. It is one of the best place to explored. First time tried tram which was pulled by horse. Tram took us to Granite Island, which has beautiful blue side of sea on its side. Port Eilot is another place, which no traveller should miss. It has beautiful beaches and rocking side. Next point to explore is Goolwa where Murray river meet sea.
Also went to Mt. Lofty to see Adelaide from top, but because of Chistmas eve most of the cafe and restaurant were closed. Also went to Hahndorf to explore German history associated to this place. We reached back to Adelaide in late evening and had great end of day with Carry On Jatta.
On 25th we had great start of day in Adelaide with overview tour of CBD and then exploration of our own. We went to Torens River
I will summarise best place on this trip was Victor Harbour and surroundings and I am making sure to come back again here and explore further.
